TCS believes strongly in the role of sports in supporting our mission to develop habits of the heart and mind for a life of purpose and service. Students learn important life lessons through athletics: being part of a team, taking on leadership roles, setting personal goals, accepting challenges, developing healthy habits, staying active and forming friendships.
Fortunately, our commitment to teaching athletic excellence is well served by outdoor facilities that are the envy of independent schools. The problem is indoor space. In 1968, our “new” gym was built for a school population of 325. Today we have 550 students and co-education. This leaves us struggling to find enough indoor time for all our teams. The solution is our proposed $12-million athletic centre.
